Mustache Tag!

Hey everybody!
I was tagged by Ariel from Chic Look xo to do the "Mustache Tag"!
I love all the things that have mustaches on them and I once had a mustache ring but lost it. :(
Here is me with my poorly drawn mustache. I think this paired with the flannel shirt makes me look like a lumberjack?

I tag YOU to do this!

New! Limited Edition Maybelline Color Tattoos!

Hey guys!
If you have followed my blog long, then you know that I am a big fan of the Maybelline Color Tattoo eye shadows. I own almost all of the original colors. Today, while browsing through target, I noticed a display of new Color Tattoo colors! I went nuts. I picked up 3 of the 4 new colors which are: "Fuchsia Fever", "Blue on By", and "Ready, Set, Green".
I have not worn any of the colors, since I just picked them up today. But, when swatching them, I noticed that "Ready, Set, Green" was the most pigmented, followed by "Fuchsia Fever", and the least pigmented and most streaky was "Blue on By".

Have you purchased any new Color Tattoos?

Urban Decay Haul: Free Love and Psychedelic Sister!

Hello again.
I received an e-mail a week or so ago about Urban Decay having a sale. Whenever I hear that Urban Decay is having products on sale, I have to check it out. The sale items include eye shadows, eye shadow palettes, lipstick, lip gloss, etc. I only picked up two of their eye shadows, for $9,  in colors that I had been eyeing for a while.

Free Love is described as a "peach shimmer"
Psychedelic Sister is described as a "bright purple" with shimmer.

Both are gorgeous colors that I can't wait to try out more!
The sale at Urban Decay's website is still going on click here to check it out.

With every purchase, Urban Decay included samples of their new Naked Skin Foundation.
So excited to try this out!

Did you purchase anything from this sale?

First YouTube Video: Basic Naked 2 Smokey Eye!

Hey girls!
I just wanted to let you all know that I have made my first YouTube Video!  After getting a new camera that actually has a decent video function, I had been contemplating whether or not to start making YouTube videos, since watching YouTube videos is really what got me more into makeup. After having trouble editing,  converting, and uploading the video, I have finally posted my first one. This video is a tutorial for creating a basic smokey eye using Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette shown in the pictures below. I added the actual video to this blog post, but I would love it if you all would go to my YouTube channel , check it out, and leave me comments of constructive criticism! I will be trying to make higher quality, less awkward, and better edited videos in the future.

Current (July) Favorites!

Hello!
I am back with probably my 2nd favorites post since starting my blog. haha I don't usually do them but I felt the need to share these great products with all of you!  July has been a fun and crazy month. I turned 21 on the 1st of July and have been working like crazy while trying to squeeze in some personal time! I hope everyone had a great July and is having a good summer!

Here are some products that I have been loving.

Mac Pleasureseeker Lip Stick and Josie Maran Magic Marker Cheek and Lip Stain in Tango

This lip stain paired with Pleasureseeker on top have been my go to combo. Tango is a bright peach stain and Pleasureseeker compliments and tones it down when worn on top.

Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace Body Lotion

This is probably my all time favorite Victoria Secret scent. I have purchased this body lotion in the past and completely used it up. I got this one with a coupon that I received for my birthday and am almost out of it! It is the perfect vanilla scent that sticks around all day long. I love putting this on my arms and legs for a lasting scent. :)

Tarte Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess

I picked up the mini pack of this and Tarte's Amazonian Clay blush in Dollface. I have been using this bronzer almost every day on my cheeks as a blush. It really warms up my face. And, since this bronzer contains a hint of shimmer/sheen it really brings out and highlights my cheeks. Love!

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Detangler

I saw a review of this on a fellow blog and decided to pick it up. I love that this can be used on either wet or dry hair. I use this when my hair is damp. But, I love it especially on my dry hair to add some life and shine.

LORAC Tantalizer in Deep

For my birthday, I received a gift card to Sephora and this is what I purchased. This stuff is amazing. When I am not feeling very tan or my self tanner has worn off, I just use this to give me a deep bronzing glow. And, it smells amazing! Kind of like a mixture of vanilla, chocolate, caramel, YUM.

Bath and Body Works Body Spray in Forever Sunshine

Recently, Bath and Body works had their semi-annual sale. This body spray was 75% off so why not get another body spray? This scent is in Forever Sunshine and it has been my go-to scent this month. But, I was informed by one of the ladies at Bath and Body Works won't be carrying this scent anymore. Bummer.

If you would like to see a review of any of these let me know!

Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless Review!

I want to share with you a hair product that I have been using frequently these past couple months.
The highly loved brand, Macadamia, recently came out with a new product called Macadamia Natural Oil Flawless. Seeing this pop up on the counter of Ulta, I decided to take a risk in paying the $33 for this product that I couldn't read any reviews on and knew next to nothing about. Flawless is a cleansing conditioner. Most ladies that I talked to about this product did not know what a cleansing conditioner was.

A cleansing conditioner, such as the popular "Wen" cleansing conditioner,  is a product that acts as both a shampoo and conditioner in one. Cleansing conditioners take the form of a regular conditioner, being very thick and having little to no lather. A cleansing conditioner can also be used in conjunction with shampoo to fully eliminate left over styling products from the hair.
According to Macadamia, Flawless is more than just the normal cleansing conditioner...

What it is
Flawless is an innovative system that combines cleansing, conditioning, and ideal hair refinement in one product. Immediate and perfect balance is restored to any hair type, giving gentle and thorough surfactant-free hair cleansing.

What it does
Macadamia Oil and Argan Oil work in conjunction with the hair's natural oils, replenishing hair life and health imparting manageability, shine, and softness.

Benefits
All-in-one cleansing and conditioning system
Refines hair texture
Optimizes styling process
Drastically cuts down blow drying time
Perfect for all hair types
Surfactant-free and Paraben-free
No stripping suds
(from Macadamia website)

Ingredients
Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Isopentane, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Stearalkonium Chloride, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Macadamia Integrifolia (Macadamia) Seed Oil, Flower Extract, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protien Pg-propyl Silanteriol, Oleanolic Acid, Apigenin, Isobutane, Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Ceteth-10 Phosphate, Dicetyl Phosphate, Steapyrium Chloride, Tetrasodium Edta, Ppg-buteth-26, Peg-40Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Fragrance (parfum)

Directions
Lightly emulsify 1 to 2 pumps between hands. Apply to wet hair and gently massage spreading Flawless over hair and scalp area. Continuously massage throughout the hair for 3 to 5 minutes depending on hair type. Add a splash of water to assist in the spreading if needed. Rinse thoroughly.

Flawless comes in a typical aluminum type can, similar to what a hairspray would be in, with a pump on the end.

The consistency of the conditioner, when first pumped out of the bottle, is that of a foam. It quickly becomes more of a thick conditioner once leaving the can.
I think like most people, I am BIG on shampoos and conditioners smelling good. If it doesn't smell good, I probably won't use it. The smell of this is very clean and kind of plant/flower smelling. (I'm not very good at describing scents) It does not smell anywhere similar to the healing oil or the deep conditioning masque. However, I still love the smell.

And the big question.. Does it do what it claims to?

All-in-one cleansing and conditioning system
Yes. Most days when washing my hair, this is all that I use. I do not start with any other shampoo and I do not use another conditioner after. It is weird thinking that slathering a conditioner onto your hair will actually clean it. But, my hair feels more clean than it does when I use regular shampoo and conditioner.

Refines hairs texture
Yes. After using this my hair feels clean and especially soft. One of the biggest things that I have noticed is how shiny my hair and bouncy my hair is after using this. I have never used another shampoo/conditioner that has made my hair have so much volume without using another product or even blow drying.

Optimizes styling process
Kind of.  Since my hair comes out so volumized, I find it kind of hard to style! ha

Drastically cuts down blow drying time
Yes. I have been letting my hair air dry mostly during using this and it dries so much faster than it would when using a heavy conditioner. The times that I have blow dried my hair I have noticed the difference as well.

Perfect for all hair types.
Maybe. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to different hair types. Some people with thick, unruly hair my not feel that a cleansing conditioner is for them. I do feel that this is great for those with thin hair or those who feel that conditioners typically weigh down their hair. I also think this is great for those with dry/damaged hair. This is my hair type.

For the first time in a while, I am paying more attention to the health of my hair. I am currently trying to grow my hair out and I feel that this product is helping in that. After using this cleansing conditioner, I don't think that I will be able to go back to using regular shampoo and conditioner. It feels so much healthier and less drying on my hair. One mistake I had when using this product was not washing it out all the way. Doing this made my hair have a weird texture. The only downside that I see to this product is the price for how much you get. It is $33 for 8 fl. oz. Which is not much. I have already gone through one whole bottle of this and am starting on my second one. I do think I will purchase this again but maybe with one of the value sets found on the Macadamia Website.

Have you tried Flawless? How do you feel about cleansing conditioners?

Seeking Pleasure? ;)

Sorry about the title.. I couldn't help myself. ;)
Anyways, MAC recently launched the Heavenly Creature collection containing different mineralize skinfinishes, mineralize blushes, lipsticks, etc. The only thing that I decided to order from this collection was the lipstick in Pleasureseeker. What drew me to this color was the fact that it is a peachy nude. I own many (MANY) nude lipsticks but not a lot of pink or peach nude lipsticks. Ironically, MAC's Shy Girl, another peachy nude that is compared to Pleasureseeker, was the first lipstick that I ever bought from MAC. I tried it out and decided that it was too light for my tan skin tone and ended up trading it on Makeupalley (which ended up being swaplifted -_-). Despite my bad luck with shy girl, I am loving the peach nude color that Pleasureseeker delivers. This is a glaze formula so it is a little bit of a lighter pigment than other formulas, but it still delivers a beautiful wash of color that brings life to the lips. It is not drying on my lips (it feels more like a lip gloss/lipstick cross). But, it also does not last as long as other lipsticks.
Despite it lasting only an hour or two on my lips, I am loving this lipstick and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I feel like this lipstick would look great on most skin tones unless you are fairly dark, it may be too light.
Pleasureseeker is currently still available on MAC's website for $14.50. Click Here to check it out!

Has anyone tried the other lipsticks from this collection?

Also..
My boyfriend gave me a new camera for my birthday! It is a Panasonic Lumix and it shoots HD videos..
Possible Youtube videos in the future?
