Black Friday Haul

This year's Black Friday was def. a success! My friend and I went shopping from 9 p.m Thanksgiving until 7 a.m on Friday. We went to 2 different malls as well as Target. There were just soooo many good deals going on that it was hard to choose what to get! Most of the items that I purchased are Christmas presents for friends and I got a few items for myself. :)

Victoria's Secret was one of the main places that we wanted to go. They had all of their perfumes on sale for $25. They also had yoga pants for $25. If you spent $65 they gave you a free tote with beauty items included in it. We actually waited in line for three hours in order to get their yoga pants and free tote. Once they opened the door it was so crazy. Everyone was pushing and I had to fight my way to get some yoga pants!
I succeeded.
I got the perfume "Incredible". This is one of my favorite scents from Victoria's Secret. Most of their perfumes are pretty strong and overpowering. This is soft, subtle, and smells amazing. I purchased a couple of more perfumes but did not include them because they are presents.

The free tote.

It included
a sample of their Angel perfume,
Sheer Love body lotion,
Bombshell Body Mist,
and a sample of their face primer.

A pair of yoga pants.

Aerie and American Eagle both were 40% off the entire store.
From Aerie I bought a pair of gray leggings and a gray scarf.
This scarf is so warm and big. I love it!

From American Eagle I purchased a feather necklace for one of my friends for Christmas.

Sephora really did not have any sales going besides select items being $10. I purchased this 3 pack of The Body Shop products from Sephora as another Christmas present.
JC Penny had Macadamia products at 20% off. I picked up a packet of their deep repair mask. I have never tried this product but I have heard really good things about it. I really hope that it does good for my dried out and damaged hair.
And of course I had to get some hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works. I like to give these out along with people's presents.
Who doesn't need hand sanitizer? haha

I am so happy with all of my purchases and happy to have gotten most of my Christmas shopping done already.

I cannot wait to see what everyone else purchased on Black Friday!

1st Shoedazzle Purchase

Wow. Where have I been?
It seems like I have not posted in forever! Well, all of my teachers decided to schedule tests right before Thanksgiving.
So.. I have been doing nothing but studying. Very fun
Anyways, I had been wanting to try the Shoedazzle website for some time now since I signed up. I finally gave in due to their "20% off your first order" deal and my need/obsession for buying boots.

For those of you who do not know, Shoedazzle is a shoe, handbag, and jewelry monthly subscription website started by Kim Kardashian. It is free to sign up. Upon signing up, you are given a type of "style quiz" to determine what kind of style of shoes, handbags, and jewelry you will like.  Each month you are given a new showroom with the choices of shoes and etc. that their stylist have chosen for you.

Like so..

It does not cost anything until you make your first purchase. After that you will be charged $39.95 monthly unless you choose to skip within the first 5 days of that month (kind of sucks when you forget about it). There is free shipping both ways so it is not really a problem if you  purchase a shoe, receive it, and end up hating it.

For my first purchase I wanted to go with a boot that I would get a lot of wear out of and that would be good for fall/winter.

I am so happy that I chose this pair because they are perfect! This boot hits me pretty much at my knee or a little above it. The boot itself is wide enough that I can have a choice of wearing skinny jeans or regular flare jeans without them looking awkward. They are also super comfortable. I would rate the quality of these boots at the same quality you would receive from Charlotte Russe or Forever 21 boots. But that is fine with me.

I ended up forgetting to skip the next month and got charged. So I picked out these pair of flats with studs on the front and the back. I absolutely love the studs but I ended up returning them because I am not a huge fan of flats on me and they felt like they would probably give me blisters. :(

Has anyone else purchased shoes from Shoedazzle?

100 Follower Giveaway! CLOSED

Just a couple of days ago, I reached my first goal of having 100 people follow my blog! This may not seem like a lot but it is very important to me. I started this blog back in April and I never expected it to really go anywhere.  It is my wonderful followers that have kept me inspired to keep up with my posting even though it is hard to get the time sometimes. I love each one of you and I very much appreciate all of the feedback that you give me through comments and e-mails. I get so excited when I get e-mails that I have a new comment! I also want to say thank you to my very new followers.

To show my appreciation, I am holding a giveaway of the full size Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. I chose this because it is a product that I truly love and use every day to set my makeup. I also want to let someone else get the chance to try it because, given the price, I know a lot of people would not normally buy this for themselves. This product was not sent to me, I purchased this with my own money.

What is All Nighter?

It is a fine misted makeup setting spray used to make your makeup last for a long period of time.

The back of the bottle reads..
This groundbreaking formula mists on, ensuring makeup that won't budge for 16 hours. Color dispersing technology keeps makeup even so it always looks just-applied. Weightless but powerful, All Nighter resists moisture and even has a techy cooling ingredient that makes skin look and feel fresh all night long!

I love using this every day to set my makeup. It keeps me from looking too powdery and it makes my makeup last from day to night! It really does do what it says. I was amazed at how long my blush lasted.

November Birchbox!

Overall I am pretty happy with this month's Birchbox. The mini lip gloss and nail polish are so cute! This firecracker chocolate candy thing is probably one of the most interesting things I have tried. lol It is dark chocolate with pop rocks (the candy that crackles in your mouth)  and chipotle. It was a really weird mixture of ingredients.

My giveaway information will be posted tomorrow!
I hope everyone has a great night. :)

Nars Angelika Blush + Orgasm Illuminator

While passing through Sephora a while ago, I glanced over at the NARS blushes and immediatly fell in love with the color Angelika. It is my favorite color after all! This is actually my very first NARS blush purchase ever. Before this, I just never could never justify spending 27 dollars for one blush. It took me a while to decide to purchase this. When NARS' website recently had a deal where you get free shipping and a free Orgasm Illuminator with every purchase, I couldn't pass it up.

Angelika is described as a cotton candy pink with gold flecks. The sparkles look  super gorgeous in the pan but I was concerned with how they would look on the skin (I didn't want to look like a big sparkly mess). The flecks turn out to be very subtle to almost not noticeable when this blush is blended into the cheeks. The pink color is very bright but it gives my cheeks a natural pink flushed look. The color is very pigmented yet it is sheer like that of a MAC sheertone blush.  I am so happy with this blush that I  do feel it is worth the money.

Here I used this blush lightly on the apples of my cheeks.

I received a free mini NARS Orgasm Illuminator with my purchase.  This  is a beautiful pink-gold highlighter that can be used to highlight anything that you wish to stand out. I have also heard that a lot of people will mix this with their foundation to give their skin a dewy finish.

On a side note, I have finally reached my goal of 100 followers! Woo!! Therefore, I will be doing my first giveaway which will be posted within the next few days. :)

Constructivist Paint Pot

Well this is my second paint pot purchase ever. My first being painterly. I originally went into MAC to get the Idyllic paint pot from the Posh Paradise collection. I LOVED the color and I thought it would go good with my everyday makeup since I wear a lot of coppers and browns. Sadly, they were sold out of Idyllic in the store as well as online Constructivist was my second option. I have been trying to pick up on more neutral colored eye shadows that will be easy to wear for everyday at school and work. I must say this color is beautiful. It kind of reminds me of Satin Taupe by MAC but more brown. I have been wearing this color almost every day on my lids while putting a darker brown color in the crease. It is super pigmented and lasts a very long time when used over a eye shadow primer.
It is easy to wear and beautiful! What more could you ask for. :)
(For those of you who do not know, Paint Pots' are available in Mac stores and online for $17.50)

Here I used it on my lids..

What is your favorite paint pot from MAC?
