Milani Baked Blush: Red Vino

On Cyber Monday, Milani had their entire website 50% off plus free shipping. How great is that? I had been wanting to try their blush because there isn't any place around the area I live that carries it.Their blushes are normally $7.99. With the discount this blush was only $4! After receiving this blush I so wish I would have ordered more. I am thinking I may have to place an order for "Fantastico Mauve" or "Dolce Pink". Just sayin :) haha
You can check out Milani's blushes by clicking here.

After looking at a few swatches I decided to choose "Red Vino". It is a wine colored blush with gold veins. This gives a nice rosy cheek with a hint of glow, perfect for the holidays! What I first noticed about this blush, besides the GORGEOUS color, was the color payoff. This blush is so pigmented that you need to be careful in applying too much. When I first applied it, I dipped my brush in the blush 2 times lightly and applied it to my cheek. It really was too much! I had to take some off and blend it so my cheeks did not look awkwardly red. The lasting power of this blush is equally as good. I applied the blush at 1 p.m when I did my makeup. It was as vibrant as when I first applied it when I took my makeup off at 11 p.m. Very awesome considering most blushes only last a few hours.

Excellent Packaging!

Red Vino applied to my cheeks. :)

Does anyone else own any of Milani's Baked Blushes?
What colors would you recommend?

November Favs!

Wow did November go fast or what? It seems like it was just Halloween. November was a pretty busy month for me. I feel like the whole month I was constantly doing homework or studying for a test.
The second to last day of November we got a big snow storm. I think we received about 5 or 6 inches of snow as you can see from my first picture. (ugh.. snow) I am so jealous of those of you who live in warm areas!
Here are a few products I have been using a lot this month.

Loreal Eversleek Sulfate Free Shampoo
Lately I have been trying to use products that will keep my hair healthier because it is super damaged. Most shampoos contain silicone which gives hair it's shiny appearance. But, this only coats the hair and actually causes drying of the hair. Most shampoos also contain sulfates. These are used to give shampoo the foaming action. These chemicals can be irritating to the skin on the scalp. This shampoo is silicone and sulfate free. It is 100% Vegan.  It also smells amazing!

St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser
I bought this face wash to help with breakouts that I had been having. I feel that this prevents breakouts rather than reducing the ones I already had. It did not reduce the breakouts really but it did reduce the redness of them and other areas of red on my skin. It left my skin feeling super clean and soft.

Caress Endless Kiss Body Wash
I always use the Caress body washes when in the shower. I spotted this new scent and I must say it smells amazing! It smells like "creamy vanilla and sandalwood". mmm :)

Rite Aid Oil Free Cleansing Towelettes
I think that this brand is compared to Garnier Fructis cleansing towelettes. I use these to take off my makeup before cleansing my face and before or after I work out or tan. They work really well and take off ALL of my makeup. They were pretty inexpensive as well!

MAC Constructivist Paint Pot
I have literally been wearing this almost every single day. This color goes so well with people who have cool based skin tones (like me). It is so easy to apply and pigmented that I just sweep some on my lids and blend a little and I am good to go!

NARS blush in Angelika
I just love this. I have also been wearing this everyday. This plus Constructivist have pretty much been my makeup for the month of November.

Too Faced Eye Shadow Insurance
I have been using this for a few months now but I thought that I would include it. After using this primer, I will never go back to the Urban Decay Primer Potion. This is hands down my favorite eye shadow primer.

Black Friday Haul

This year's Black Friday was def. a success! My friend and I went shopping from 9 p.m Thanksgiving until 7 a.m on Friday. We went to 2 different malls as well as Target. There were just soooo many good deals going on that it was hard to choose what to get! Most of the items that I purchased are Christmas presents for friends and I got a few items for myself. :)

Victoria's Secret was one of the main places that we wanted to go. They had all of their perfumes on sale for $25. They also had yoga pants for $25. If you spent $65 they gave you a free tote with beauty items included in it. We actually waited in line for three hours in order to get their yoga pants and free tote. Once they opened the door it was so crazy. Everyone was pushing and I had to fight my way to get some yoga pants!
I succeeded.
I got the perfume "Incredible". This is one of my favorite scents from Victoria's Secret. Most of their perfumes are pretty strong and overpowering. This is soft, subtle, and smells amazing. I purchased a couple of more perfumes but did not include them because they are presents.

The free tote.

It included
a sample of their Angel perfume,
Sheer Love body lotion,
Bombshell Body Mist,
and a sample of their face primer.

A pair of yoga pants.

Aerie and American Eagle both were 40% off the entire store.
From Aerie I bought a pair of gray leggings and a gray scarf.
This scarf is so warm and big. I love it!

From American Eagle I purchased a feather necklace for one of my friends for Christmas.

Sephora really did not have any sales going besides select items being $10. I purchased this 3 pack of The Body Shop products from Sephora as another Christmas present.
JC Penny had Macadamia products at 20% off. I picked up a packet of their deep repair mask. I have never tried this product but I have heard really good things about it. I really hope that it does good for my dried out and damaged hair.
And of course I had to get some hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works. I like to give these out along with people's presents.
Who doesn't need hand sanitizer? haha

I am so happy with all of my purchases and happy to have gotten most of my Christmas shopping done already.

I cannot wait to see what everyone else purchased on Black Friday!

1st Shoedazzle Purchase

Wow. Where have I been?
It seems like I have not posted in forever! Well, all of my teachers decided to schedule tests right before Thanksgiving.
So.. I have been doing nothing but studying. Very fun
Anyways, I had been wanting to try the Shoedazzle website for some time now since I signed up. I finally gave in due to their "20% off your first order" deal and my need/obsession for buying boots.

For those of you who do not know, Shoedazzle is a shoe, handbag, and jewelry monthly subscription website started by Kim Kardashian. It is free to sign up. Upon signing up, you are given a type of "style quiz" to determine what kind of style of shoes, handbags, and jewelry you will like.  Each month you are given a new showroom with the choices of shoes and etc. that their stylist have chosen for you.

Like so..

It does not cost anything until you make your first purchase. After that you will be charged $39.95 monthly unless you choose to skip within the first 5 days of that month (kind of sucks when you forget about it). There is free shipping both ways so it is not really a problem if you  purchase a shoe, receive it, and end up hating it.

For my first purchase I wanted to go with a boot that I would get a lot of wear out of and that would be good for fall/winter.

I am so happy that I chose this pair because they are perfect! This boot hits me pretty much at my knee or a little above it. The boot itself is wide enough that I can have a choice of wearing skinny jeans or regular flare jeans without them looking awkward. They are also super comfortable. I would rate the quality of these boots at the same quality you would receive from Charlotte Russe or Forever 21 boots. But that is fine with me.

I ended up forgetting to skip the next month and got charged. So I picked out these pair of flats with studs on the front and the back. I absolutely love the studs but I ended up returning them because I am not a huge fan of flats on me and they felt like they would probably give me blisters. :(

Has anyone else purchased shoes from Shoedazzle?

100 Follower Giveaway! CLOSED

Just a couple of days ago, I reached my first goal of having 100 people follow my blog! This may not seem like a lot but it is very important to me. I started this blog back in April and I never expected it to really go anywhere.  It is my wonderful followers that have kept me inspired to keep up with my posting even though it is hard to get the time sometimes. I love each one of you and I very much appreciate all of the feedback that you give me through comments and e-mails. I get so excited when I get e-mails that I have a new comment! I also want to say thank you to my very new followers.

To show my appreciation, I am holding a giveaway of the full size Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. I chose this because it is a product that I truly love and use every day to set my makeup. I also want to let someone else get the chance to try it because, given the price, I know a lot of people would not normally buy this for themselves. This product was not sent to me, I purchased this with my own money.

What is All Nighter?

It is a fine misted makeup setting spray used to make your makeup last for a long period of time.

The back of the bottle reads..
This groundbreaking formula mists on, ensuring makeup that won't budge for 16 hours. Color dispersing technology keeps makeup even so it always looks just-applied. Weightless but powerful, All Nighter resists moisture and even has a techy cooling ingredient that makes skin look and feel fresh all night long!

I love using this every day to set my makeup. It keeps me from looking too powdery and it makes my makeup last from day to night! It really does do what it says. I was amazed at how long my blush lasted.

November Birchbox!

Overall I am pretty happy with this month's Birchbox. The mini lip gloss and nail polish are so cute! This firecracker chocolate candy thing is probably one of the most interesting things I have tried. lol It is dark chocolate with pop rocks (the candy that crackles in your mouth)  and chipotle. It was a really weird mixture of ingredients.

My giveaway information will be posted tomorrow!
I hope everyone has a great night. :)
