Review: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil!

So I am a bit obsessed with bronzers..anything that makes me tan I am all for it! I have always eyed the assortment of Too Faced bronzers but have never picked one up until now. I tried a few in Ulta and this was  my favorite.

It is the Too Faced Chocolate Soliel bronzer (available at Ulta, Sephora, toofaced.com for $29)
This is described on the Too Faced website as a matte bronzer which neutralizes red and evens out skintone.

The packaging of this product is pretty basic. It is a simple compact with a mirror. On the mirror it has writing that reads, "Why be pretty when you can be gorgeous". I thought that was funny lol. The bronzing powder itself contains cocoa powder which makes it smell just like chocolate! I find myself not being able to stop smelling it! haha. This bronzer is a medium buildable coverage so you can achieve a touch of sun or a heavier brown color (which I prefer). It is a matte brown (not orange) bronzer which contains no shimmer whatsoever so if you like your bronzer on the matte side this is def. for you. This bronzer is water resistant and I found while I was wearing it throughout the day it did not get blotchy or unnatural looking. It gave me a nice even coverage because of its high pigmentation and is easily bendable. I love that it is more brown than orange so it really gives me a natural looking tan.

The only bad thing about this bronzer, for me, is that I feel like it will run out very quickly due to how much I use. I use it all over my face rather than just as a contour color. So I don't feel that I will want to be spending $29 each time I run out to buy this bronzer when I could be spending $3 on my E.L.F contour compact.

This is very similar to my E.L.F bronzing powder (from the contour compact) except the E.L.F bronzer has more of a red tone and a hint of shimmer.

Here is a picture of me using the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer all over my face!

I think this is one of my favorite bronzers and it is a very good color for all over the face or for contouring since it is matte. If you do not already own the E.L.F bronzing powder then I would def. recommend getting this!

What is your favorite bronzer?

  4. Wow... I was hoping this was a joke. Are you at least using a fake tanner to achieve that horrifying color? You're going to look 70 by the time you're 30 if you're not. Quite frankly tbe totally unnatural color of your skin and hair here already ages you and looks so so unflattering. Underneath all that orange and bleach, I can see that you're a pretty girl. Please let everyone else see that too!
